Qualifications

  • GCSE · English and Maths · 4/C or above, or equivalent · Essential

Things to consider

<ul> <li>Ability to learn and use pharmacy systems, electronic records and stock systems after training.</li> <li>Good numeracy skills, including confidence with calculations.</li> </ul> Desirable: <ul> <li>GCSEs or equivalent in science-related subjects.</li> <li>Previous experience in pharmacy, healthcare, care, retail, administration or customer service.</li> <li>Previous experience using IT systems in a workplace or learning environment.</li> </ul> Previous completion of a pharmacy support staff qualification, such as dispensing assistant or pharmacy services assistant training.<br>Candidates should understand that progression to registration as a pharmacy technician will depend on successful completion of the approved training route, achievement of competence and meeting GPhC registration requirements.
