- GCSE · English and Maths · 4/C or above, or equivalent · Essential
- NVQ · Dispensing · Level 2 · Essential
Things to consider
Desirable: <ul> <li>GCSEs or equivalent in science-related subjects</li> <li>Previous experience in pharmacy, healthcare, care, retail, administration or customer service</li> <li>Previous experience using IT systems in a workplace or learning environment</li> <li>Previous completion of a pharmacy support staff qualification, such as dispensing assistant or pharmacy services assistant training</li> </ul> Candidates should understand that progression to registration as a pharmacy technician will depend on successful completion of the approved training route, achievement of competence and meeting GPhC registration requirements.
