Gas Engineer Level 3 Apprenticeship

Join Housewarmers as an Apprentice Gas Engineer and learn domestic gas, heating and plumbing work with our experienced engineers. You’ll attend Ignite Training one day a week, gain hands on experience in customers’ homes, and build the skills for a long term trade career.

You’ll be part of a small, family-run team, working alongside experienced engineers on real domestic plumbing, heating and gas jobs. As your skills develop, there may also be opportunities to gain practical experience in other areas we work in, such as solid fuel, air conditioning and bathroom fitting.

Applicants must be comfortable working in customers’ homes and speaking politely with customers. The role involves practical site work, including working at height, working in confined or awkward spaces, lifting and carrying materials, kneeling, using tools and wearing PPE. Applicants must be able to get to our Sunderland shop for the start of the working day and to the training centre on their training day.

Housewarmers is a family run plumbing, heating and bathroom company based at our showroom in Sunderland. We work in customers’ homes across Sunderland, South Shields, Durham and the surrounding areas, carrying out boiler, gas, heating, plumbing, bathroom, stove and fireplace work. We are a small, practical team with a focus on reliable service, good workmanship and helping customers feel comfortable in their homes.
