About the role

Join our friendly GP practice as an Apprentice Primary Care Administrator. You’ll welcome and support patients, manage appointments and telephone enquiries, process prescriptions, update records, handle correspondence and provide essential administrative support while developing valuable healthcare and customer service skills.

Things to consider

The candidate will be expected to work within the policies and procedures of the practice maintaining confidentiality in regard to patients, carers, practice staff and other healthcare workers. The candidate will assist in promoting and maintaining their own and others health and safety and securing. The post-holder will support equality, diversity and the rights of patients, carers and colleagues. The post-holder will participate in any training programme implemented by the practice as part of this employment. The post-holder will strive to maintain quality within the practice. The post-holder will communicate effectively with other team members, patients and carers. The post-holder may be asked to de-activate the alarm, make all necessary preparations to receive patients, at the end of the day ensure the building is secure, lights are off and the alarm activated. The post-holder will undertake any other additional duties appropriate to the post as requested by the Partners or the Practice Manager.
