About the role
This is a hands-on apprenticeship role supporting the finance function as it is built and scaled from the ground up.

Qualifications
- GCSE · English and Maths · 4/C or above · Essential
- Level 3 Qualification · Accounts/practical bookkeeping or finance experien · Level 3 or Equivalent · Essential
Things to consider
•Sound working knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and the month-end process •Confident using Excel and comfortable learning finance systems such as Xero •Accurate and methodical, with the organisation to manage competing deadlines •Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to raise questions and query information that looks incomplete. •Discreet and trustworthy in handling confidential financial and personal data. The following would be desirable and advantageous to have experience in: •Exposure to a multi-site or multi-entity business •Exposure to a start-up or fast-growing environment. •Prior use of Xero or a comparable cloud accounting package •Any exposure to VAT returns, including partial exemption, or to a healthcare, medical or mixed-supply environment •Proactive, solutions-oriented, and motivated by helping build structure in a scaling business.<br>•Eligible to enrol on the Level 4 Professional Accounting/Taxation Technician apprenticeship and committed to completing it, including the off-the-job training requirement.
