About the role

This vacancy is for an Apprentice Optical Assistant based in Shropshire. Administration tasks, reception work, meeting and greeting patients, assisting in the choosing and dispensing of glasses, ordering and fitting of glasses. Working within a small team focussed on delivering friendly and caring service to the local community.

Suzanne Floyd Optometrist is an independent practice in the Shropshire market town of Craven Arms, established in 1992.<br>The business is owned by local couple Tim &amp; Liz Jones. Tim is a qualified Dispensing Optician and manages the operational side of the business with Liz managing the financial side. Tim has worked within the Optical profession for over 30 years and is available to help and advise on the latest frame and lens options as well as resolving any frame fitting issues. ​We stock a wide range of frames and have a selection of Brands including Wolf, Radley, Joules, Cocoa Mint and Episode. We have a full range of products with complete glasses available from &pound;69. We offer a choice of Optometrists for eye examinations with appointments available on most days of the week. ​We are registered in the Shropshire CUES (Community Urgent Eyecare Service) scheme, further detail can be found by following the link&nbsp;here. There is a disabled parking bay directly outside the practice and a lowered kerb for access. Standard wheelchairs can enter the practice through the doorway threshold, with ramp if required, into the level dispensing area and also into the consulting room.
